Is there any reason for me to use the "Intel Matrix Storage Manager Driver"? I understand the newer "Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver" is superior but I don't think I can use it with my old, crusty ICH10R controller.ĮDIT: I found some modded drivers that seem to be popular among the older Intel chipsets. I am not running a RAID setup but I do use my mobo in AHCI mode because of my Samsung Evo SSD. I've just always used the built-in Windows 7 drivers and I'm not totally sure why that is.
